BIMinNZ Queenstwon - Project Spotlight: The Mill

  • Cook Brothers Construciton Level 2/10 Munro Road, Frankton Queenstown New Zealand (map)

Join us for an evening with the project team behind The Mill, a landmark mass-timber sports performance, health, and recovery facility in Queenstown.

This panel-format session brings together speakers directly involved in the project for an open, facilitated discussion on how BIM and digital technologies are functioning in practice.

The discussion is intended to cover what's worked, what hasn't, and what the team has learned along the way. Whether you're curious about real-world BIM integration, project delivery challenges, or digital workflows, this is an opportunity to hear firsthand perspectives from people at the coalface.

Jesse Allely

Senior Associate and Architectural Technician

With 14 years at Warren and Mahoney, I’ve delivered a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from small residential holiday homes to large multi‑storey hotels and many project types in between. My involvement in the practice’s digital management began early on as the regional CAD Manager for the Queenstown studio, and has since grown through major transitions—including the shift from MicroStation to Revit—as well as digital support and template development across the business.

With a strong technical background, I typically lead projects from the Developed Design stage through construction, guiding teams and coordinating workflows to ensure a smooth process from design to client handover of the completed building.

Josh Gibbons

With over 20 years’ experience from the tools through to Regional Manager, I bring a practical, delivery-focused perspective and am passionate about building high-performing teams that deliver strong outcomes on complex projects.
